My name is Erik, I am an image-maker. This webpage is dedicated to my work.
When asked what his poems meant Robert Frost answered: “You want me to say it worse?” (read in one of Robert Adam’s books). This is pretty much my view on artist statements and what to tell about my images on this webpage. That said, I would like to quote two other artists whose words I identify with:
“I don’t see it as my task to create meaning but to charge the air so that meaning can occur” (Todd Hido)
“I have nothing to say and I am saying it” (John Cage)
My work is exhibited at places like Atrium City Hall and Pulchri Studio both in The Hague, at Gallery Lichtzone in Groningen, at the Dutch ministry of Foreign Affairs, among other places in The Netherlands.
